Five things I thought about during my icy morning walk:

1. Everything is a sheet of ice. So many sirens in the distance.
2. Mid-life. I think it can be about acceptance or about "hell no, I won't go without a fight." And I think I'm somewhere in between.
3. I don't usually make New Year's resolutions. One year I did. It was simply to have more fun. That was the year I finally got pregnant with Emma. lol.
4. But I am making a couple of big resolutions this year. Only one I can share. If nothing happens with my fiction, I am moving on, giving up. Seriously. Maybe I need to listen to what the Universe appears to be telling me and place my energy somewhere else.
5. Almost two weeks of my husband and children being home has gotten me so spoiled and torn. A part of me doesn't want to send the girls back to school. I want to keep them here, somehow place a bubble over this house, and hold them close to me. Thinking of getting the routine started back up next week just sort of saps the energy from me.

I’d re-think giving up- ever. With vision comes opportunity and challenge. The obstacles are not necessarily telling you you are going the wrong way. The dream-giver tests our resolve by seeing how we manage obstacles. I’m sure I don’t need to tell you the stories of all those who persevered when everyone (including themselves) doubted the vision.
