Five things I thought about during my morning run:

1. How fabulous the Suffolk Mystery Author’s Festival was. How I love my tribe. I can’t remember which one of my sisters from Sisters in Crime took this photo. But here I am—happy to be with my books and friends:

2. The Cars. Remember them? Heard this on my run this morning. My Best Friend’s Girl.

3. Gorgeous morning for a run–but I should have started earlier. It’s gotten just a bit too warm for me.

4. I like running under the trees–nice shady spots. More shade please!

5. No hip pain. None. My low-gluten and no dairy diet seems to be working. I’m shrugging my shoulders here. I had no idea it would affect me this way.

Five things I thought about during my morning run:

1. Spring rain.
2. Tink has all of a sudden noticed earth worms. She doesn't want to eat
them—just torture them. This is a side to my dog I've never seen
3. Emma has gotten very squeamish about earth worms. She never used to
be this way. Puberty = squeamish?
4. It would be a great rain to run in, but I promised myself no running
today. Yoga today. Yesterday, I ran 3 miles, with just a little hip pain
toward the end of my run. Later, Eric asked if I wanted to go for a
walk with him and the girls. I did–but my hip started to bother me not
far into the walk. So I went home. One step forward…
5. My new blog

Five things I thought about during my morning run:

1. Here I am listening to Tori Amos again in the morning. That's usually
not a good thing. But I can't help myself.
2. I need to get some Stevie on my Ipod. I was also thinking The Cars
would have some great songs to run to. Blondie, too.
3. It was so nice to go to Christy's for a little while yesterday and
eat some wonderful cake and see my friends.
4. All of a sudden, I am even busier with a new Grit assignment, my
blog, and my proofreading gig. On top of everything else…
5. Still no word from the dr. on my hip. It only hurts a little. I will
call her today.

Five things I thought about during my morning walk:

1. I FOUND MY KEYS!!!!! It was exactly what I thought–they must have
fallen out of my pocket during a run. Now that the snow has melted, I
found them along the road. 😉
2. Pretty little pine cones.
3. Not running again. In fact, my walk is short. I have an early morning
appointment with the doctor about my hip. Maybe I can run later…
4. So wet and lush.
5. So strange. I don't know what to say. But last night at the school
two people that I haven't seen in awhile told me I look bad. Seriously.
"You don't look right," one woman said. The other one said, "Are you
sick or something?" What do you say to that? Seriously-I had even put
some make-up on before heading off to the school. Eric said maybe I am
wearing my hip pain on my face. When you are in pain, it IS exhausting.
But jeez.
