1. Can not believe how late I slept in and that the girls actually made it to the bus.
2. That red velvet cake. Hmmm. I did feel a little like I was cheating
on pie. But a little variety never hurt anybody. And I do need to get
to know cake better. After I thought about it, I have made cake from
scratch, but it was so long ago. Most recently (a few years back) I
made my Gram's Depression cake from scratch.
3. Eric's home today and all next week. Today is his birthday–KING for a day.
4. I can't tell you how many people have been surprised over the years
that I am NOT a single mom. They are surprised when they actually meet
Eric. "You actually DO have a husband." One woman said to me. He makes
it to all the important functions; don't misunderstand me. But he works
a lot and prefers to be at home when he's not working. So it's usually
me and the girls out and about–and most of the time, I am okay with
that.
5. I am really liking this editing gig and the fact I get paid through
Paypal. I think I can handle a few more editing clients. I just
purchased the online version of the Gregg Style Manual. My Chicago and
AP books are so old. I think for what I'm doing the Gregg is perfect.
