1. Running is so much like life. Sometimes it hurts, sometimes it
fabulous, but even when your sweating, your heart is racing, and you're
struggling for breath, just keep placing one foot in front of the
other. It's either that or give up, which is unacceptable to me.
2. Gray and nasty looking day, but its kinda warm.
3. Naysayers. I've dealt with them my whole life. Starting with my own
father who never wanted me to get my hopes up for anything. Once he
said to me "Why are you getting college applications? You're not going
to college. You're getting married and having kids, just like everybody
else." I don't know where I got this voice inside of me–but I
remember thinking: "That's what YOU think. I'm going to do what I want
to do."
4. And I am. But the funny thing about doing what you want is this:
when you get to the place where you really CAN do what you want, you
immediately begin to see the responsibility that comes with that. It's
called maturity. And sometimes it really sucks. 😉
5. Happy National Pie Day. Go to my Mrs. Rowe blog (click on the side panel) and enter the
competition for a signed copy of the book and 2 pie toppers. C'mon. You
know you want to.
