i mollie, i run · April 7, 2010

Five things I thought about during my morning run:

1. It's almost too warm for a run. Almost.
2. What happened to Spring? All of a sudden we have SUMMER.
3. So saddened about the miners in W. Va. I've lost a grandfather and a
greatgrandfather to the mines. When will things change?
4. I never knew my grandfather, Dana— my Dad's father. He died when my
father was 8. He was a hard guy. One story my father told me is that
when he was a boy he came home beat-up by another boy. My grandfather
kicked him out of the house and told him to not come back until he found
that boy and beat him up. So, my Dad did. Can you imagine? So, I'm
kinda glad I didn't know him.
5. Really looking forward to visiting with some friends today.
