Mollie Cox Bryan

i mollie, i run · June 1, 2010

Five things I thought about during my morning run:

1. It's official. I hate the Virginia Standards of Learning. My girls are
so stressed by them and I think it's so not worth that. I like the idea
that teachers are accountable–but I don't like the way this is
handled, the way our kids are memorizing factoids instead of learning.
2. Tess got off the bus last week and completely melted down because she
was so stressed and exhausted. She just turned 9. Perspective people.
3. Oooo. Look at that bunch of ants.
4. I can't get the oil spill off my mind. Dreadful.
5. I can't believe how much I'm sweating. Sweating is good. Life is
good.
