Five things I thought about during my morning run:

1. Squeezing my run in to a busy, busy day. It’s my sanity.

2. “China..all the way to New York. Maybe you got lost in Mexico.”

3. Off to see houses this morning, three in the Tree Street area of Waynesboro.

4. The “Out of Africa” party last night to celebrate the completion of the West African project at the museum. It was so lovely. Party in the woods with lights strung in a the trees.  Tables of food. Big bonfire. Roasting marshmallows. Emma and Tess learning how to roast them just so it’s a little burned on the outside, a little gooey on the inside.

5. School meetings will Tess’s teachers this afternoon. You never know what will come up in these things.

We’ll make a “snooty Tree Street mom” out of you, yet. Well, probably not – I’m not one, but that name was applied by a friend on our first meeting. She said she thought, Oh, no … not another snooty Tree Street mom … then she realized that (a) I am not snooty and (b) neither are any of the other moms I know in the Tree Streets…

Thanks for commenting, Mary. I’m seeing a house on Locust–the red brick one on the corners, which I’ve always loved. And I’m seeing the condo/townhouse on Chestnut (I think). We tried to get in to see 2 other Chestnut houses today, but the realtor’s aren’t responding. I like that part of town a lot. Every mom I know over there is NOT a snooty Mom.
