Mollie Cox Bryan

Blog, i mollie, i run · October 30, 2010

Five things I thought about during my morning run:

1. Frosty grass.

2. Bad dreams about New York. Wow. That’s the first time, I’ve had horrible dreams about New York. All night long–or so it seemed.

3. I’ve gotten a lot of invites to eat pie in Brooklyn. I don’t think I’m going to Brooklyn on this trip. It deserves it’s own trip. Some other time.

4. This running thing is not as easy as it may seem. Sometimes I just want to stay in bed and could care less about running. It seems as if every muscle and bone are telling me to stay warm. Stay in bed.

5. But I’m always glad I force myself. It helps me–enormously. The physicality of it is one thing. But it really affects my mood. I didn’t get to run yesterday and was feeling very down last night. And it dawned on me: I didn’t run. I did Yoga. But it doesn’t give me what running does.
