Blog, i mollie, i run · January 11, 2011

Five things I thought about during my morning run:

1. That kettle ball class looks crazy. I’ll have to give it try sometime.

2. Gary Hart on some news show I watched last night. Of all people–he made a lot of sense to me. One thing he said is that he’d like to hear from some of the network execs and owners. He’d like to hear them say “Enough is enough.” Me, too, Gary.

3. Eric says the best thing people can do to these folks like Rush Limbaugh is to ignore them. I get that. But then maybe we’ll have sensible people ignoring him and then crazy people hanging on every word. Hey. Maybe that’s what’s already happening.

4. There is not just craziness in the nation right now, but also in my local community. All signs point to us not paying enough attention. Not wanting to see that not everybody has the best intentions–especially where our children our concerned. My own children have called me overprotective more time thatn I an sount.

I’m not doing much writing/blogging/tweets these days, Mollie, but my counting is OK — I make that four. wink

re #3: Ignore them? Ha! They’re bullies. Ever tried ignoring a bully? They won’t letcha.
Boy Fren’ and I had a fireside chat this AM, from which rose an intriguing observation. “Why is it jerks [read: Limbaugh or Glenn Beck, etc] NEVER are targeted by shooters, snipers, and other assorted Loonies?” Do they not decimate their own kind? Provocative question, I think?

Hmmm. Thanks for pointing that out. Looks like #5 disappeared. There WAS a #5. It was about The Girl With a Dragon Tattoo. I’m like it much more now that the GIRL is in it.
And yes, that is quite the provocative question, Kate.
