D E E P E R

If any of you take Yoga classes, you’re probably familiar with a teacher saying, “Let’s see if we can take that pose a little deeper.” Last night, the word “deeper” resonated with me. If I’d categorize my life right now by one word, I think deeper would be it. My fiction writing seems to be touching something that has been dormant inside of me for years. I’m having even stranger dreams than usual. My relationships, too, are are taking on a different tone and depth. I’m getting deeper in the pose, breathing my way in, loosening those tight places in my body, in my spirit. And I’m getting deeper into my life. The wonder of it all is that I have no idea what’s next, where this depth will lead me. But I will take it.
